江戶文字初體驗

First experience with Edo writing

Edo characters generally refer to the advertising fonts used by the Tokugawa shogunate during their rule of Japan for more than 200 years.

As the stable Japanese society shifted from feudalism to commerce, Edo font came into being, creating a unique text landscape that is different from traditional calligraphy.

Character masters use practical purposes to introduce the application scenarios of different Edo characters and the stories behind them so that students can understand more Japanese character elements and broaden their horizons.
