First experience with Edo writing

Edo characters refer to the advertising fonts used by the Tokugawa shogunate during its 200-year rule over Japan.

As Japan's society transitioned from feudalism to commerce, Edo characters emerged, creating a unique landscape of characters that was different from traditional calligraphy.
