Natural rock paint made from Himekawa Yakushi, Characterized by its warm and soft beige color.

Mineral pigments are granular paints made primarily from crushed ore and are traditionally used in painting, sculpture, crafts and architecture. In Japan, it is used for ancient tomb murals and scrolls, and because they are made from natural materials and are not mechanically or chemically treated before refining, they are relatively expensive.

Himekawa Yakuishi
It is a type of igneous rock mined in Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture. It has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine as "tiger stone" for medicinal purposes. It is believed to boost the immune system, and locals say it is good to hug a Himekawa Yagishi when you are not feeling well.
The stone contains trace amounts of radioactive elements such as radium and thorium, and also produces radioactive rare gases such as radon and thoron.
Hormesis (an adaptive response that creates resistance to certain substances) is expected to improve the immune system.
