By depicting the ever-changing and countless shapes of clouds, I hope to take you into an oasis of calm, temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of urban life, and experience the simplicity of life.
Living in this busy city, we sometimes feel tired, as if we don't even have room to breathe. At this time, you may want to take a walk to the beach or look at the clouds in the sky.
Karen HY Fong was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Vancouver, where she studied Interior Design and Graphic Design. As a young girl, she was always interested in different forms of art and design. She loves photography and is exploring different art mediums such as watercolor, pigments, and oils.
Karen’s time in Canada fostered her love for nature, especially skiing down mountains and through the woods in the winter. After returning to the busy streets of Hong Kong, she missed the peace and quiet of Canada’s nature.
Karen’s work is inspired by the beauty of natural landscapes: clouds and mountains. Using a variety of mediums, the serene and picturesque narratives she paints are inspired by her interpretation of the beauty of nature and her desire to evoke inner peace in her viewers.
